Color Palette Generator
Generate harmonious color palettes from any base color.
About Color Palette Generator
Pick a base color and choose a color harmony rule (analogous, complementary, triadic, tetradic, split-complementary, or monochromatic) to generate a five-color palette. Switch between HEX, RGB, and HSL output, then click any swatch to copy that color or grab the whole palette at once.
How it works
Choose a base color with the picker or type a hex value. Select a harmony type and the tool calculates five colors based on color theory rules. Analogous picks neighbors on the color wheel. Complementary grabs the opposite side. Triadic spaces three colors evenly at 120-degree intervals. Pick HEX, RGB, or HSL output, then click any swatch to copy that color or copy the entire palette at once.
Color harmony types
Analogous palettes feel calm and cohesive because the colors sit next to each other on the wheel. Complementary palettes create strong contrast between opposites. Triadic and tetradic spread colors evenly for balanced variety. Split-complementary softens the tension of a pure complement by using its two neighbors instead. Monochromatic sticks to one hue and varies only lightness.
