loot.tools

Privacy

The short version: loot.tools doesn't collect your data because it has nowhere to put it. There's no backend, no database, and no account. Here's exactly what that means.

Your input never leaves the page

Every tool runs in your browser with JavaScript. What you type, paste, or upload is processed on your machine and is never sent to us or anyone else. There's no server to receive it.

No accounts, and only cookieless analytics

There's no sign-up and no login. The only measurement is Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless: it counts page views and load speed without cookies, fingerprinting, or any personal data, so there's no profile of who you are or what you do here. Nothing you type or paste into a tool is ever part of it.

Saved only on your device

Your theme choice, favorites, and recently used tools are kept in your browser's local storage so the site remembers them between visits. They stay on this device and never reach a server. Clear them any time from your browser, or with the Clear button on the Recently used row.

One outside request

The page sends anonymous page-view counts to Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sees the request like any file download. That's it: fonts, styles, and scripts are all served from the site itself, and nothing you enter into a tool is ever part of any request.

Don't take our word for it. Open your browser's network tab and watch what loads while you use a tool. Questions about any of this? Get in touch.
